The  fourth annual Birdies Fore Blues golf tournament was a huge success and raised more than $800,000 for the Memorial Villages Police Foundation. The big winners are Kenny MacLeod (Memorial Villages Fire Department), AJ Daggett, Steve Geuther, and Davis Pinion (pictured, from left) with a score of 14 under par, 57. It was a great day in Hockley at The Clubs at Houston Oaks for the four-man scramble teams that each consisted of a first responder, a student athlete, and two donors/sponsors. After a shotgun start and 18 holes, tournament participants enjoyed a Texas BBQ buffet and the announcement of prize winners. Student-athlete tournament chairmen are Allie Sherman, Brooks Rexrode, Harrison Lee, Luke Weir, Emily Rouse, Grant DeLorenzo, Grant Huthnance, Maggie Chiles, Claire Cagle, William Webster, Hayden Halaska, and Freeman Woldert.
