Teeda says, “Be patient”
Mother, grandmother, and new children’s book author Theresa Hildreth (pictured) recently wrote and published Teeda Says, “Be Patient,” with illustrator Kenny Kiernan. Theresa, who is known as “Teeda” by her grandchildren, wrote the book about a child learning how to be patient with guidance from her grandmother. She was inspired to write the first draft of the book in 2015 after a front-porch conversation with her then five-year-old granddaughter Audrey while watching butterflies. After navigating some life changes during the last several years, Theresa leaned into her creativity and finished and published the book. She is planning to write more books in the Teeda Says series, including her next project, Teeda Says, “Be Responsible.”
