Summer officially begins today, June 20, and ends Sept. 22. That gives us 94 official days of summer, approximately 14 weeks. For the past few summers, interns here at The Buzz have tackled the task of finding the songs of the summer. This year, we have compiled a 14-song playlist, one song per week. The Billboard Hot 100 released their 20 songs of the summer in early June. Half of the songs on my playlist were also included on their list, which means my playlist is very reliable and exudes credibility.

The playlist for The Buzz was particularly curated with newly-released or trending songs ranging from country to pop. With new music from Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Zach Bryan, and more, you’re sure to find a favorite hit. There’s no better feeling than driving with the windows down, wind in your hair, sun beaming through your sunroof, and a playlist with no skips blaring.

Music has the power to shape your day and change your mood. Songs hold memories, which evoke feelings. The songs in this playlist are meant to bring out your best summer self. They are quick to make you dance and are easy to belt out while you’re heading down 6-10. Whether you’re taking a drive to feel the breeze, hosting a pool party, going to the beach, or relaxing at home, Buzz interns hope that you’ll use our playlist to make this the best-sounding summer yet!
