Gia Gaston

Gia Gaston was born and raised in Houston. She grew up in the West University area and moved to Memorial after graduating from Mark Twain Elementary. Growing up, she wrote entertainment blogs and posted videos on her YouTube channel for her family and friends. Her family knew she would love the journalism field as soon as she started writing short stories on Taylor Swift songs at the age of 8. Gia loves anything Taylor Swift and is the girl you talk to when you want to decipher lyrics. She attended Stratford High School and is a rising senior at Texas A&M University. She is majoring in Communication and minoring in Journalism. At Texas A&M, she developed a passion for journalism and reporting while covering Texas A&M’s Club Baseball team. While babysitting for Annie McQueen, she learned about The Buzz and was eager to join the team. Gia loves writing friendly, light-hearted, and heartwarming pieces about her community that she is proud to be from. She is thrilled to be an addition to The Buzz and excited to begin her journey.
