The enchanted forest

Annie and Spencer Kerr (pictured) served as co-chairs for the Houston Arboretum’s Enchanted Forest: 2024 Alfresco Gala. Along with fellow co-chairs Amy and Robert Urquhart, the Kerrs welcomed 400 nature-loving guests to the Nature Center courtyard and lawn for the event that raised more than $500,000 for nature education and conservation. Supporters Marilyn and Harry Kirk were honored for their history with the Arboretum, including Harry’s service on the board of directors. Guests enjoyed food and wine surrounded by blooming spring wildflowers and heard remarks from Arboretum executive director Debbie Markey and board president Sam Pyne, followed by a silent auction and live music from Infinite Groove.
