Walk and roll down Mulberry Lane
Evelyn’s Park was the starting and end point for this year’s Walk and Roll for SCI event, raising funds for assistive-technology equipment for spinal cord injury patients. Joshua, Julia, Alli, Jeffrey, and George Feinstein (pictured, from left) joined nearly 800 others for a one-mile trek down Mulberry Lane that raised $165,000. Alli and Jeffrey Feinstein created this annual fundraiser to provide others with the technology resources that were instrumental in Jeffrey’s own recovery from a neck and spinal cord injury. With a combination of adaptive equipment and physical and occupational therapy, Jeffrey has made a huge recovery after his 2018 injury, and he now helps ensure others have the same opportunity. People of all ages walked, rolled, rode bikes or scooters, and then everyone gathered at Evelyn’s Park for an extensive after-party of music, face painting, rock climbing, and lots of fun.
