Kick up your boots for kids

Wade Bowen, Laurel Bashaw, Susan Plank, and Randy Rogers (pictured, from left) were among the 250 guests at the 8th annual Kick Up Your Boots for Kids event benefiting Dec My Room, an organization that decorates personalized hospital rooms for pediatric and young-adult patients. Country artists Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers rocked the stage and had everyone two-stepping the night away at House of Blues. Event chairs Laurel Bashaw and Dodi Willingham and Dec My Room founders Kendall Plank and Susan Plank celebrated the record-breaking fundraising effort that brought in $350,000 that will allow the organization to continue to comfort young patients as they undergo inpatient medical treatment.
