The café, open every day to the student body, is located just feet away from the dining hall. A common lunchtime attraction, The Kettle never fails to add to a Strake Jesuit meal. The shop sells an impressive selection of coffee, as well as non-caffeinated options such as refreshers and smoothies. Additionally, baked goods such as cookies and muffins await pupils. Readily available for purchase using a student ID, the items bought at The Kettle can be taken anywhere on campus for enjoyment.

Much like its strawberry banana smoothies, The Kettle’s versatility goes unmatched. The store is furnished with booths and chairs for students to use throughout the day, making it an excellent stop. The well-lit room, faint music playing in the background, is a fantastic study space for driven customers while also serving as grounds for light lunchtime conversation. Usually filled with coffee-craving adolescents, many students mingle during free or passing periods.
