An afternoon with Katherine Center

Dagmar Deason, Glenda Gause, Becky Osborn, Deidre Reed, and Connie Grant (pictured, from left) attended the Memorial Woman’s Club luncheon at the Houston Racquet Club. The event, benefiting Books Between Kids, featured guest speaker novelist Katherine Center and a book signing sponsored by Blue Willow Bookshop. Houstonian Katherine Center is the New York Times bestselling author of 11 novels, including The Bodyguard, Things You Save in a Fire, and her newest, The Rom-Commers. Her 2015 novel Happiness for Beginners is now a movie starring Ellie Kemper and Luke Grimes, and the movie adaptation of her novel The Lost Husband stars Josh Duhamel.
