Got the gold

The 6U Frostwood Elementary School Mystics wrapped up a dream softball season under Head Coach Trent Hoffman and Assistant Coach Ryan Johnson. Half the roster was new to the game, but they found their rhythm and finished with an undefeated 10-0 regular season. They entered the playoffs with some hurdles, including weather and several injuries and illnesses. Their resilience propelled them to clinch the Gold Bracket Championship with a heart-pounding 15-14 walk-off victory over the undefeated Kinkaid Thunder. Down 9-1 early, the Mystics stormed back, sealing the win in the bottom of the sixth with Sadie Bejar’s two-run single.
