A grand slam

West University Softball Association hosted a grand opening event at their new covered hitting and fielding facility located at WUSA's South Campus location. Pictured (front row, from left) celebrating this WUSA milestone are Macey Liebl, Annabelle Landrum, Shiloh Landrum; (back row, from left) Michael Liebl, Daniel Pesikoff, Emily Pesikoff, and Joshua Landrum. Former and current players provided ceremonial firsts: WUSA alum Emily Pesikoff made the first hit, Macey Liebl provided the first pitch, and Shiloh and Annabelle Landrum together showcased the expanse of the facility. The facility is designed with modular netting so it can have up to 12 hitting lanes or be fully opened, allowing WUSA teams to have infielding practices. The facility is outfitted with top-of-the-line hitting screens, hitting mats, collection nets, and pitching pockets. The facility was made possible by donors and supporters.
