Sheila Mayfield, Annie Lovell, and Angela Peterman (pictured, from left) are co-chairs for The Garden Club of Houston’s 83rd Bulb & Plant Mart. The annual event takes place at The Church of St. John the Divine, Oct. 9-11. Gardening enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels can find more than 20 categories of bulbs and plants for sale, including amaryllis bulbs, native plants, citrus and fruits, perennials, shrubs, herbs, tulips, roses, succulents, and more. In addition to a wide variety of shopping options, gardeners can learn from horticulture experts and speak with representatives from the Houston Museum of Natural Science Cockrell Butterfly Center. Proceeds benefit The Garden Club of Houston’s support of public gardens, green spaces, and educational programs. The Bulb & Plant Mart is open Oct. 9, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 10, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Oct. 11, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
