For the love of Bellaire baseball

Bellaire Little League (BLL) president Sam Dagley and Jenny Dagley (pictured) were among the crowd on Weston Field for the unveiling of a monument honoring the newly formed BLL 1953 Club. The philanthropic group was created to honor the legacy and preserve the future of youth baseball in Bellaire. Hundreds of guests attended the ceremony, including city officials and BLL leadership. Named for the year BLL was founded, the 1953 Club aims to bring together former players, coaches, parents, and supporters to give back to the organization after their time on the field ends. What began as an effort to fill 53 founding-member spots quickly grew to 100 spots after an overwhelming response. The founding contributions will support enhancing and expanding BLL facilities, including a long-awaited sixth field at Lovett Elementary.
