Healing through art

Isaac Raijman, Lori Raijman, and Kristen Collins (pictured, from left) were among the nearly 500 supporters at the 8th annual Arts of Healing gala at The Post Oak Hotel. The physician art show and dinner, chaired by Drs. Rachel and Warren A. Ellsworth IV and Natalie and Mark Bordman, raised more than $560,000 to fund The Arts of Healing + Sunshine Kids Summer Camp. Founded by Lori and Dr. Isaac Raijman, Arts of Healing is an organization that blends art and science to promote healing. The gala featured a live auction with artistic works created by 21 physicians, and guests enjoyed an all-physician jazz band that played before the program started. Following the auction, guests hit the dance floor with Drywater Band who welcomed one of the physician-artists, Jeff Ross, as a guest trumpet player.
