Heroes in health care

Richard Villanueva Jr., Brent Pearce, Natalie Pearce, Colleen Villanueva, Lynn Jones, Ed Jones, Cynthia Pickett-Stevenson and Robert Jackson were among the 200 guests at the Hotel ZaZa-Museum District for the Health Heroes Gala benefiting The Health Museum. Gala chairs Lynn and Ed Jones led the event that raised a record-breaking $430,000 to support the Museum’s educational programs, interactive exhibitions, and community outreach initiatives. The evening began with a cocktail reception featuring art by Houston artist Taft McWhorter who created a collaborative piece titled “Note to Self.” Guests were invited to add their own note-to-self to the work, which later became one of the most coveted items in the live auction. CW39 HTown Live host Maggie Flecknoe and The Health Museum president and CEO John Arcidiacono welcomed guests and shared updates on the Museum, leading up to Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale taking the stage to introduce the 2025 Health Heroes Honoree, his daughter Dr. Elizabeth McIngvale.
