Running for Heaven's 27

Runners of all ages (pictured), from kids to adults, on Team 27 are gearing up for the 2026 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon, and We Are Houston 5K, Jan. 9-11. The marathon team, with more than 150 members, is raising funds for the Heaven’s 27 Foundation, established to support the individual foundations honoring the lives of Camp Mystic campers and counselors lost in the July 4th Hill Country floods. The team attended a training meetup at the Eastern Glades at Memorial Park, with a session led by Kiya Dandena, head coach of Team Run Houston. They will have an official cheer station along Kirby Drive, and everyone is invited to join and cheer them on. Follow Team 27 on Instagram at @Team27HTX for location and updates.
