11th Annual Gingerbread Build-Off

First runner-up and public favorite from 2018: "Winnie the Pooh" by Ginger & the Snaps. The 2019 Gingerbread Build-Off takes place Sat., Dec. 7.

Architecture Center Houston hosts the annual Gingerbread Build-Off in which competing teams will create masterpieces using 100 percent edible materials. Spectators are welcome to cheer on the teams, see Santa, play in the kids' construction zone and enjoy the festivities. Entertainment is free and open to the public. This year, in honor of the Apollo moon landing, there will be a special competition category: Gingerbread in Space.
