13th Annual Rory Miggins Irish Music Festival & Stew Cook-Off

Calling all cooking teams and relay teams to join the 13th Annual Rory Miggins Irish Music Festival & Stew Cook-Off. This year’s event will be on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Lucky’s Pub. Presented by the Houston St. Patrick’s Parade Commission, this family event will take place rain or shine with awards and raffle beginning at 5:15 p.m. 

• Cook-off teams compete in different categories: Irish Coffee, Irish Dessert, Open Irish Dish, Chicken, Irish Stew, Chili and Best booth. Sample food from various cooks and a variety of Irish cuisine.
• Two stages with bagpipers and live music by Dead Rabbits, Mongo Cross Band, Pratty (From Dallas), Anika Chambers, Godfrey’s Rangers, Cass-Barrington, Academy of Irish Dance, more tbd. 
• Music, Irish Dancers, face painters, vendors and the World-Famous Billy Carr’s Great Stout Relay! 

All proceeds benefit the 60th Annual Houston St. Patrick’s parade. This is a two-hour parade that has historically been one of the largest in the U.S. and each year includes over 100 entries to delight the Irish and Irish-at-heart. This event is free and for all ages and will take place on March 16 at 12 p.m.
