15th Annual Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation Luncheon

The 15th annual Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation Luncheon will feature elebrity guest speaker Henry Winkler, two-time Golden Globe Winner & Emmy Nominated Actor best known as “The Fonz” from Happy Days and star of NBC’s new hit reality travel show “Better Late Than Never”. The annual event helps raise funds towards breast cancer research in Houston.

This year’s celebration will open with a festive reception and silent auction starting at 1 a.m. followed by a seated lunch and program at 12 p.m. Ilona Carson, ABC 13 Anchor, will emcee the event.

The Nancy Owens Spirit of Courage Award will be presented to Donna Vallone. The award reflects and honors the courage of an extraordinary individual who has fought the battle against cancer—and won!

The Nancy Owens Memorial Foundation was created in the name and honor of Nancy Owens, who enjoyed a long, successful real estate career spanning several decades. Nancy embodied such a bold spirit as she fought hard and won her battle against breast cancer—not once, but twice!

Since its inception, NOMF has donated over $1.53 Million to recipients including the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the Department of Nanomedicine with the Houston Methodist Research Institute. Last year’s luncheon was attended by 850 guests and raised a record breaking $130,000 that was donated to three local research projects.
