2018 Galveston Bay Report Card Presentation at REI

Join us at REI for an insightful presentation on the health of Galveston Bay! The Galveston Bay Report Card is a citizen-driven, scientific analysis of the health of Galveston Bay. The goal of the Report Card is to engage community members in meaningful discussion about Bay health topics and designed to inspire people to take actions that protect and preserve the Bay. The 2018 Report Card is the fourth release, and we plan to update the report annually. In the wake of Hurricane Harvey, our region and our state are struggling to take stock of the damage and begin the recovery process. The Galveston Bay Action Network (GBAN) puts the power of protecting your community in your hands! This app allows users to report any land or water pollution within minutes.

Reports are automatically sent to the proper authority, resulting in the quickest response to get the pollution cleaned up. The Galveston Bay Action Network can be accessed online, and the mobile app is free and can now be downloaded from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Together, these tools provide the community with the resources to preserve the Bay for future generations. This event is free to attend.
