22nd Annual Run for the Rose

The 22nd Annual Run for the Rose, the primary fundraiser for the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation, will take place Sun., April 12, 8 a.m. at Helix Park in the Medical Center. The run includes a USATF-Certified 5K Run, Family 1K Run, Survivor Stroll, and Post-Race Party for all participants. 

The two-fold mission of the DMRF is to eradicate brain cancer through research, advocacy, and awareness, and to improve the lives of pediatric patients. Funds raised from the Run for the Rose are directed toward these initiatives. The Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation (DMRF) was established by the Rose family in 2002 to honor the memory of their beloved daughter and sister, a pediatric physician and brain cancer patient. Due to the generosity of our community of supporters, the DMRF has donated over $8 million to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
