27th annual West U Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Deck the halls and start your holiday season with the West U Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Look forward to performances by the St. Andrews Children’s Choir along with several other performances by youth programs from the West U Rec Center. At the end of the ceremony the winners of our annual coloring contest will be announced and will flip the switch to light the tree. The coloring contest is available to West U Residents ages 4-12. Coloring sheets for the contest will be available for pick-up starting Nov. 9 at the West U Rec Center (4210 Bellaire Blvd.).

During the ceremony, other fun activities include cookie decorating sponsored by Elite Care Rice Village, hot chocolate provided by Corner Bakery, bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes, live reindeer graciously sponsored by Frost Bank, a photo booth with pictures taken by Paige Baker Photography and even Santa himself will make an appearance, so do not forget your camera! Last but not least there will even be snow in the air to help put everyone in the Christmas spirit.
