30th Annual Komen Houston Virtual Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen® Houston will host its 30th Anniversary Race for the Cure virtually. While the pandemic has cancelled many important moments, Komen’s mission to end breast cancer isn’t cancelled, and neither is Komen Houston’s Race for the Cure! Rather than meeting in downtown Houston, participants are encouraged to #Racewhereyouare. Komen Houston is using social media posts (#racewhereyouare, #pinkfor30, #komenhouston), marketing programs and technology solutions, including an app that records steps to allow for meaningful participation. The added benefit of this new virtual experience is that people who previously couldn’t attend an in-person event can now participate and be part of the community the event is known for creating.
