Join HMNS on Saturday, October 14 on the Museum Sundial Plaza as the Ring of Fire forms in the sky of Houston and learn the science behind it with telescopes, crafts, and more! Don’t wait too long, this rare event won’t happen again until 2077.

Outside the Museum’s main entrance, participate in hand-made crafts, solar experiments, and safely view the eclipse using special viewers or telescopes designed just for this purpose. Inside, track the sun’s progress across Texas or step into the Burke Baker Planetarium where staff will help you discover where and how solar eclipses occur with screenings of Totality Over Texas.
