Art Is An Outdoor Market
More than 70 specialty vendors, ranging from painters, sewistas and sculptors to quilters, candle and print makers plus vintage clothing and jewelry dealers – will gather for the third installment of ART IS AN Outdoor Market at Republic Square.
In addition to a number of returning favorites, such as A Patton Fine Art, specializing in acrylics, alcohol ink and watercolor, Popcart all-natural, small batch ice pops, elaborately embroidered wearable art from Jewelry by Gumi, The Paper Carousel, featuring handmade pillow dolls and keepsake decorative items and Dye2Spin’s one-of-a-kind, hand-dyed fiber and yarn products, some of the fresh features this season include all-natural, coconut oil soap maker Simple Nut Organics, Onata signature scents, whimsical finds from Anitantique Vintage, Kokedamas by: Sama traditional Japanese moss balls and macramé plant hangers, French antiques from The Lagniappe Shoppe, Louie Loo indigo-dyed home goods plus clothing and accessories for kids and pets, Moo-Chila Ecuadorian men’s shoes and backpacks, sweet and spicy, small batch condiments from Nando’s Honey Farm and Chilesquiles Foods, as well as wines from Moravia Vineyard & Winery in Schulenburg.
Food offerings will include Cajun fare by Herbert’s Specialty Meats and pub grub from Watson’s House of Ales, which will also operate a beer and wine garden.
Kid-centric festivities will range from bubble machines, music lessons and a coloring station to seed planting, Pop Shop America DIY activities and wildlife interaction.
