Be Bold Margarita Competition

Don your sombreros and shake your maracas; Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, an organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, will host the sixth annual Be Bold Margarita Competition at BBVA Compass Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015.

With the purchase of an event ticket, supporters will have the opportunity to sample a variety of unique, delicious margaritas and vote for their favorite. Event guests also will enjoy tasty appetizers and have a chance to bid on a variety of fantastic silent auction items. Fox 26’s news anchor, Melinda Spaulding, will serve as the event emcee. Celebrity judges include Diane Caplan, Brian Ching, Chloe Dao and Maggie Flecknoe.

This year the event will feature 20 margarita teams vying to win awards such as Judge’s Choice, People’s Choice, Best Theme and Team Spirit. Also, we will be having the very popular Queso Throw Down with participants from some of Houston’s hottest restaurants - all competing for the distinctive title of El Queso Grande, to be selected by the celebrity judges.

All proceeds benefit Girls Inc. of Greater Houston whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
