Big Brothers Big Sisters 2018 Gala

The Next BIG Thing: A Celebration of Human Potential is the new theme of the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) 2018 annual gala, which will take place Thurs., Sept. 6, 6 p.m. at Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria. Several of the mentoring organization’s “Littles” (mentees) will be featured throughout the event’s program to give guests a glimpse at the bright futures made possible when a volunteer mentor is carefully placed into their lives.

Kristina and Paul Somerville, generous donors for Big Brothers Big Sisters and ardent supporters of the mission of mentoring, are chairs for The Next BIG Thing. The attire for the evening’s gala is “Texas Cocktail – Cowboy Chic” as a salute to the event’s honoree, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™.

Guest will also enjoy first-class dining and exciting silent and live auctions followed by high-energy entertainment by Professor D. Funds raised will directly benefit local children who have requested a Big Brother or Big Sister and who are waiting to be matched with mentors who will enrich, empower and encourage them to reach their highest potential.
