Boot Walk to End Cancer
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will host the second annual Boot Walk to End Cancer on Sat., Nov. 11. Check-in begins at 11 a.m., the walk begins at 1 p.m. and post-event festiviteis start at 1:30 p.m. Walkers are encouraged to start a team and wear their favorite boots ― cowboy boots, combat boots or rain boots ― to symbolize giving cancer the boot. The walk will take place at the MD Anderson campus in the Texas Medical Center, beginning at Pressler St. at Bernet Ave. Festivities will take place at The Prairie on Holcombe Blvd.
Justin Stapleton, KPRC-TV meteorologist, will be emcee. Chairs: Dorothy and Malcolm Paterson, chairs; Ashley and Lance Loeffler, co-chairs; and Ann and Clarence Cazalot, honorary co-chairs.
