Build a Bridge for Living featuring Sergeant Kevin Briggs

Join The Menninger Clinic and Presenting Sponsor Origin Bank for a virtual event recognizing National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Menninger President and Chief Executive Officer Armando Colombo will welcome attendees with an inside look at his first year at The Clinic, followed by a keynote address by Sergeant Kevin Briggs, a retired California Highway Patrol Officer who became known as the “Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge.” Sgt. Briggs is noted for his successful intervention with hundreds of suicidal individuals in crisis.

As recent studies show rising rates of anxiety, distress and depression among the public, this is an important time to highlight the warning signs of suicide and learn from Sgt. Briggs's vast experience of talking people back to safety. The event will conclude with a Q&A session moderated by Menninger Director of Research Michelle Patriquin, PhD, ABPP.
