Celebrating Kwanzaa

Learn all about Kwanzaa and how it is celebrated through visual arts and music!

WHAT'S HAPPENING

Kwanzaa Workshop with Soulliaa Rae: Learn about Kwanzaa at our hands-on art workshop where kids can learn about the holiday's rich traditions and create a special craft to take home!
Limit 15 participants ages 5+; sign ups open one hour prior to each workshop.
When: At 11 am, 12 and 1 pm in Kaleidoscope

Joy of Djembe Drumming: Celebrate the spirit of Kwanzaa with an interactive performance featuring lively drum circles that bring community and rhythm together!
When: At 12:30 and 2:30 pm on the Patio
Seven Principles Hat: Design a hat that highlights the seven guiding principles of Kwanzaa and the meaningful colors of the Pan-African flag—red for struggle, black for the people and green for the future.
When: All Day in Seasons of Sharing

Kinara Craft: Build and decorate your own kinara, the seven-branched candleholder that shines light on Kwanzaa’s values of unity, creativity and faith.
