Children's Museum Super Bowl In It to Win It Event

Super BowlThe Children’s Museum of Houston will score a win for Houston families in celebration of Super Bowl LI.  Families are invited to tackle tough numbers and celebrate football along with its well-played calculations.   

Special events include: 

  • Mascot Challenge: The Museum’s Telephone Man and Moe Monster will face off in “speed challenges” at 1 p.m. in the Alcove. 
  • Code Red Performance: Houston Energy female football dance team’s routine will beg for a replay following the Mascot Challenge in the Alcove.
  • Houston Energy: Meet-and-greet with Houston’s own female football team, 1-3 p.m. in Brown Auditorium.

Activities include: 

  • Zetangled Football: Design patterns on a football at Alexander Art Academy.
  • Plastic Bag Football: Repurpose grocery bags to play “finger football” at EcoStation.
  • Stadium Sustainability: Learn about Super Bowl LI host site green efforts at EcoStation.
  • Paper Football Champs: Construct your own football and play against your friends at Junktion.
  • Paper Bag Football: Make your own paper bag pigskin at Junktion.
  • Touchdown Pennant: Celebrate your favorite team to win the Super Bowl LI at Junktion.
  • Football Frenzy: Use numbers to be the first to reach the end zone at ExxonMobil Math Cart.
  • Field Goal Percentage: Catapult the perfect field goal using projectile motion at Science Station.
