City Ballet of Houston Performs 'The Nutcracker'

An annual holiday favorite, The Nutcracker will delight audiences of all ages. It tells the story of a young girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince, a Sugar Plum Fairy and a fierce battle against a Mouse King. Following the afternoon performances, experience the behind-the-scenes magic - you will have an opportunity to hear a brief presentation about the ballet and meet the dancers. This special presentation is included with your ticket to the Saturday or Sunday matinee performance!

City Ballet of Houston proudly returns to The Grand 1894 Opera House with its production of The Nutcracker. CBH is a non-profit regional dance company and Honor Company of Regional Dance America, recognized for its years of training youth and professional dancers. City Ballet of Houston, under the artistic direction of Luis Fuente and Mary Beth Arrington, has been producing the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, for over 30 years! The production was choreographed by ballet legend, Frederic Franklin, and it is performed in the beautiful Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston on Dec. 15-16.  Seventeen of the elite youth dancers are from the Memorial area and will be performing in this year's production.
