City of West U's Annual Easter Spring Festival

The City of West University Place Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Easter Spring Festival is scheduled for Saturday, March 28 from 9-11 a.m. 

This year’s event will feature many games and activities that will make this year the best Easter Spring Festival. Join us through a fun-tastic Easter Trail for an opportunity to receive fun treats from your favorite businesses around West U. You won’t want to miss making new friends at the petting zoo, having your face painted or going through the inflatable obstacle course.

While you’re here, you can also learn about other camps and classes hosted by the Recreation Center. Last but not least, be sure to bring your camera for a photo with the Easter Bunny. All activities, including the Easter Trail, will take place on the field next to the Recreation Center at 4210 Bellaire Blvd and admission is complimentary.

Also, stop by the Recreation Center to participate in the “Guess the Number of Eggs in DiEGGo Tower” contest. Entry forms will be available at the front desk. One lucky winner from ages 4 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 will be announced at 10 a.m. during the festival. You must be a West U resident to be eligible.

In conjunction with the Easter Spring Festival this year, the City will also host its annual Arbor Day Celebration. Craig Koehl, West U’s Urban Forester, will be on hand to distribute handouts and answer questions regarding planting and preservation of your trees. He will also give out five gallon trees on a first come first serve basis.

Residents may pick up one complimentary tree per household. The City sponsors this annual Arbor Day Celebration as part of our participation in the Tree City USA program, which is operated by the National Arbor Day Foundation. West University Place has participated in the program and has been awarded a Tree City USA designation for the past 25 years.
