DRACULA! Inspirations by Edward Gorey Opening Reception
The masterful pen-and-ink drawings of renowned illustrator and author Edward Gorey for the vampire play “Dracula” will come to life in Brookfield Properties’ latest exhibition, DRACULA! on display at Total Plaza in Downtown Houston from Sept. 13-Nov. 9, 2018. Presented in partnership with the Alley Theatre, the exhibit features a selection of costume and set designs from the original 1977 Broadway production that were recreated for the Alley’s 2014 show production. Curated by Sally Reynolds, the exhibit will immerse the viewer in Gorey’s great wit and elegance. This exhibit is free and open to the public for viewing Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. as part of Brookfield’s ongoing commitment to invigorating public spaces in Brookfield office buildings with high quality, free arts and cultural exhibitions.
A scene-stealing opening reception will be held on Oct. 3 from 4-6 p.m.
