Family Day: Lunar New Year

Join the Asia Society in welcoming the Year of the Pig with performances, art and craft activities, and food inspired by Lunar New Year traditions across Asia.

Join the Asia Society in welcoming the Year of the Pig with performances, art and craft activities, and food inspired by Lunar New Year traditions across Asia! Dance to the beat of traditional lion dancers as they perform throughout the building. A limited quantity of red envelopes will also be given to children. Activities throughout the day include Chinese calligraphy, pig mask making, a photo booth, community calligraphy scoll, Chinese handkerchief and umbrella dance and more.  Admission to the New Cartographies exhibition will be free.

This event is free and open to the public. Food and drink will be available for sale.

Performances by Huaxing Arts Group Houston are ticketed.

Lunar New Year activities will also take place at The Galleria on Feb. 10 and Feb. 16–17, 12–5 p.m.
