In Full Bloom Spring Luncheon
RaiseUp Families, formerly known as Westside Homeless Prevention, is celebrating 25 years of providing a helping hand to Houston families and hosting our 6th Annual “In Full Bloom” Spring Luncheon on Thursday, April 4, 2019, at The Briar Club.
Spearheaded by event chairs Alicia Hartsfield and Jan Mendenhall, the luncheon is shaping up to the best yet, including Bill Balleza, Anchor KPRC Channel 2, as Master of Ceremonies, Fr. James Murphy, President of St. Thomas High School, giving the blessing and a great raffle prizes donated by Advantage BMW - Midtown.
Guest speaker is Charles Clark, author and world-class athlete, who will share his story of overcoming adversity through hard work, believing in himself and having a network of support during difficult times. His inspirational story will motivate RaiseUp Families’ clients and supporters to “overcome their adversity and step into their greatest comeback story.” Also sharing her personal story of overcoming adversity is RaiseUp Families’ client, Carmen Jones, who will describe how they provided the support she and her children needed to succeed and allowed her to take charge of her own destiny.
