Grand Re-Opening of Ware Family Park

The City of Bellaire and PATRONS for Bellaire Parks are hosting the Grand Re-Opening of Ware Family Park located at 800 Jacquet Drive in Bellaire on Sat., Jan. 26, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with a fun-filled play day of activities for the whole family. 

The ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Andrew Friedberg, City Officials and PATRONS will be held at 11:15 a.m. followed by free games, food and fun! The Bellaire City Library will have a dedication ceremony at 12 p.m. for their newest Little Free Library. Free hot dogs and refreshments provided by Randall's and HEB will be served by The Optimist Club of Bellaire. There will be activities including the Doodle Bus, kid's crafts, old fashioned picnic games and more.    

Ware Family Park has been newly renovated and re-energized with all new play equipment. The Park features a Disc Swing for children of all abilities and a colorful Shadow Play Swing Set donated by PATRONS for Bellaire Parks as part of PATRONS "Pocket Park Project" initiative to include new all-ability play features in Bellaire’s Pocket and Community parks.  

Parking for the event will be available in the parking garage located at 6300 West Loop South, across the street from the park.
