HBU Spirit of Excellence Gala Featuring Keynote Speaker, Chip Gaines

Houston Baptist University (HBU) hosts its Spirit of Excellence Gala on Nov. 1, 2018 to raise funds for university scholarships while honoring pillars of the community. Guests will have the privilege of listening to keynote speaker, Chip Gaines. Chip and his wife Joanna are the co-founders of Magnolia, a home and lifestyle brand, and authors of New York Times bestseller, The Magnolia Story. Additionally, they co-stared on the popular HGTV show, Fixer Upper. Chip is also the author of New York Times bestseller Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff.

The event, hosted at one of Houston’s finest venues, will begin with an auction of experiences at HBU, such as A Night at the Museum – private tour and dinner in our three University Museums, HBU Cheerleader for a Day and much more. Guests will then enjoy dinner and the presentation of award recipients, including Houston standouts such as Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. McNair, Dr. Archie and Linda Dunham, Sherry and Jim Smith, Pinky Pampell and Colin Montgomerie.
