Hurricane Harvey Holiday Recovery Event at Bering’s
Bering’s Hardware is hosting a Hurricane Harvey recovery event at both store locations on Sat., Nov. 17. Schedule:
6102 Westheimer location:
10 a.m.: Lily DuBose, founder of Lily’s Toy Box, will tell her story, promoting her fundraising and accepting donations of toys.
10:30 a.m.: Julie Beasley, author of H is for Harvey, will be doing a reading and signing books. 100% of the royalties from the sale of the book will go to the Astros Foundation for Harvey Relief. Read more about the book here.
11 a.m.: seven-Year-old Harper Mixon, writer and musician of “Love Does” will be singing, signing autographs and promoting the fund-raising sale of her song to reach her goal of selling one million copies. All the proceeds raised in meeting Harper’s goal will be donated, resulting in funds helping to rebuild 20 to 30 homes.
