Joy in the Moment

Archway Gallery presents Joy in the Moment by Houston-based artist Maryam Lavaf, on view October 4–30, 2025. This exhibition features new abstract paintings and sculptures created from found and recycled materials. Lavaf’s work explores the beauty of fleeting experiences, using fluid strokes and textured forms to spark reflection on hope, lightness, and connection. Originally from Iran, Lavaf has exhibited widely in solo and group shows since moving to Houston in 2004. Guests are invited to attend the opening reception on Saturday, October 4, from 5–8 p.m., with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m. Complimentary valet and refreshments provided.
