Kemah Boardwalk’s Salute to Military Service and First Responders Weekend
The Kemah Boardwalk and the City of Kemah invite area residents to Salute to Military Service and First Responders, Nov. 3-5, to celebrate and honor our nation and community’s heroes with a weekend of commemoration, entertainment and fun for everyone. This annual event will recognize the Harris & Galveston County area first responders who played a key role in protecting our community during Hurricane Harvey. The schedule is as follows:
Fri., Nov. 3:
3-3:45 p.m. Children of Fallen Soldiers Parade (travels through City of Kemah)
5-9 p.m. Military & First Responder Exhibits on Display
5-9 p.m.: Live Music – Luther and the Healers
Sat., Nov. 4:
9 a.m.: City of Kemah Parade
10 a.m.-9 p.m.: Military & First Responder Exhibits on Display
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: K-9 Demonstrations
11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Live Music – Bourbon Brothers
2:30 p.m.: Coast Guard Air Sea Rescue
4 p.m.: Salute to Hurricane Harvey Heroes
4:30-5:30 p.m.: New Recruit Joint Swear-in Ceremony
5:30-6 p.m.: National Anthem & Golden Knights Parachute Team
6-10 p.m.: Live Music – Fal Skye
7:30 p.m.: Movie Screening – Ernest Goes to the Army
Sun., Nov. 5:
6:30-9:30 a.m.: Salute 5K Fun Run
9 a.m.-3 p.m.: Military & First Responder Exhibits on Display
10 a.m.-12 p.m.: JROTC Competitions
12-4 p.m.: Live Music – Sofa Kingz
5-9 p.m.: Live Music – Yelba
