Award-winning author Kwame Alexander will visit Houston this November through an event organized by Blue Willow Bookshop. Alexander is the author of 24 books, including The Crossover, a New York Times best-selling novel for middle grade readers that received the 2015 John Newbery Medal and the Coretta Scott King Author Award Honor, among other accolades.
His latest release, a young adult novel called Solo, is a collaboration with the poet Mary Rand Hess. Solo tells the story of Blade Morrison, the 17-year-old son of an aging rockstar father.
