The creative explosion in Texas in the early to mid 1970s centered on singer/lsongwriters working out of Austin. Jerry Jeff Walker, Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson and fellow Texans Guy Clark, Michael Murphey and more created a body of work not surpassed since. Now you can hear this music again!

Since that time what was called "outlaw country" or "progressive country" has turned into Americana music beloved the world over. It's that meeting of the soul of folk music with the beat of rock that lives on today.
