Remembering Our Fallen Soldiers WWII, Korea and Vietnam vets to present Memorial Day ceremony and flag raising at Memorial City Mall. The MC Gang, a local veterans group, will honor Memorial Day with a patriotic program and flag raising ceremony. The program is free and open to the public. The MC Gang will conduct a traditional Memorial Day program for mall guests featuring an oral history of the Memorial Day holiday and its meaning, patriotic music, readings of war era poetry and a solemn muster for all departed MC Gang members. The event will culminate in the traditional raising of the U.S. flag from half-staff to full staff symbolizing the memory of the departed being lifted up by the living who resolve to not let the sacrifices made for liberty and justice be in vain. Public are encouraged to stop by the Operation Interdependence table and write a special note of encouragement which will be sent to US troops deployed around the world.
