Memorial Hermann Health System's 'A Survivor’s Celebration of Life'

Memorial Hermann Health System will host its annual “A Survivor’s Celebration of Life” event honoring cancer survivors and their caregivers. The 2016 Texas-themed event features a keynote speaker and cancer survivor Dr. Dan Shapiro. The Vice Dean for Faculty and Administrative Affairs at the Penn State College of Medicine, Dr. Shapiro is also an author whose writings about the patient experience  and physician patient relationships have appeared or been featured in the New York Times, the New England Journal of Medicine and others. In addition, a healthy country lunch will be served, and there will be a wellness-oriented resource fair, a photo booth, music and dancing.
