MemorialUnited: Celebrating Harvey's Heroes
As we approach the year marker since Hurricane Harvey impacted our city, the residents on Houston’s Westside are tired but resilient, and on the road to recovery. To honor the work and sacrifice and recovery, we are planning a night of celebration to honor Harvey’s Heroes.
Please join us for the premier of a documentary about Harvey, CHANGED: When the Dams Were Released, produced by one of our own residents impacted by the storm: Maria Fonseca Sotolongo, a documentary filmmaker.
We will also dedicate commemorative benches to be placed along the Buffalo Bayou in Terry Hershey Park - many of our local residents donated funds to place these benches in honor of the “Westside Harvey Heroes” – volunteers who helped us literally weather the storm and rebuild. If you wish to give please click here.
We will have drinks and food, with music sponsored by The Memorial Buzz.
