NCJW’s 24th Annual Intergenerational Women’s Seder
Please join the National Council of Jewish Women Greater Houston Section on Thursday, April 14, to retell the story of the Exodus from a woman’s perspective. For the 24th consecutive year, we will honor and celebrate the part women have played in the history of the Jewish people and in the spiritual history of all people. Enjoy original readings, uplifting songs, and delicious food.
Laykie’s Gourmet Café at the J is catering the event, which will be led by Cantor Marilyn Ladin with music by Marcia Sterling and Dr. Isabelle Ganz. Cantor Ladin’s Women of Wisdom ceremony, which she created expressly for this seder to honor women ages 70 and above, will again be featured. Also featured will be along with a special prayer for those enslaved today, which NCJW Greater Houston Chapter is urging the entire Houston Jewish community to include in their seders.
Check-in will begin at 6 p.m. at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC and the Seder will start at 6:30 p.m. The suggested donation is $25.00 with no charge for children ages 18 and younger. Please bring non-perishable Passover food items for needy families.
Register online or send your check to NCJW Greater Houston Section, 6102 Queensloch, Houston, TX 77096. For more information, email [email protected].
