The New 'West End Church': First Pre-renovation Service

Pre-renovation services at the new West End Church will begin Sunday, Oct. 11, 5 p.m., and will continue on Sundays at 5 p.m. through Nov. 29.

West End Baptist Church (WEBC) and River Pointe Church (RPC) have merged, forming the newly named West End Church to revitalize Houston’s inner loop community. This new, nondenominational church is made possible by the WEBC congregation’s selfless donation of 100 year-old buildings and sought-after land – valued at $10 million – located at the epicenter of Houston at 802 Shepherd Drive. To complete the merger, RPC will renovate and restore these original buildings to their former glory.

Starting this Sunday, Oct. 11, the new West End Church will hold pre-renovation church services until Nov. 29 weekly at 5 p.m. inside the existing sanctuary, allowing the community to have a glimpse of the space before renovations begin.
