Rain Barrels for the Houston-Area Community

Rain barrels

The Interfaith Environmental Network of Houston and Galveston Bay Foundation invite all houses of worship and their members in Houston, alongside any interested Houstonians, to a rain barrel workshop. Join on Sunday, Oct. 11 to learn about the benefits of rain barrels and how to install them on your property. Rain barrels not only conserve water, a precious natural resource, they also help to keep water clean and reduce flooding, thereby making Houston a more resilient city.

Registration includes access to the online webinar, one rain barrel, and one connecter kit. The supplies will be available to be picked up on Saturday, Oct. 10 or Sunday afternoon, Oct. 11, prior to the online learning event. There will be several different pick-up locations throughout the Houston area (see details below). This workshop is sponsored by LyondellBassell and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages. Register to participate here. For more information, contact Lisa Brenskelle at [email protected].
