Rainbow on the Green – Discovery Green's annual family-friendly Pride celebration – takes place Friday, June 28, and will include an evening of performances by Houston’s own Z’maji Glamouratti and the Lone Star Discoteq, The Space Kiddettes, music producer and DJ Hiram, drag queens and Tina Turner and Chaka Khan impersonator Roxanne Collins. KPRC2’s Derrick Shore will be the emcee for the evening.

Z’maji is a house vocalist bred on gospel, disco & world music. The H-town native’s powerhouse vocals and high energy performances are a multi faceted gumbo of theatrical production and vibrant dance music. Along with being backup vocalist for the electrifying Gulf Coast Soul band, The Suffers, he is also a session vocalist as well as currently completing his eclectic dance EP, “Heartbeat”.

In addition to Z’maji’s solo endeavors is his passion project “Z’maji Glamouratti & Lone Star Discoteq”. Discoteq is the ultimate live band experience celebrating dance musics illustrious past & glittering future. Born out of a loving obsession of disco &  the search for joy in the uncertainty of the pandemic, Discoteq’s repertoire spans 5 decades of beloved dance, house, & electronics Top 40 hits.
